UK Weather Forecast: What to Expect Over the Next Few Days

Low pressure brings unsettled weather through much of the week and across the weekend. Heavy downpours initially from the south before a more conventional westerly flow returns.

Wednesday: Rain and heavy downpours likely through the day!!!

Rain and downpours from the word go on Wednesday with many locations experiencing them although parts of the E Midlands, East Anglia and the South East may see fewer to start with but you retain the cloud cover. These downpours or longer spells of rain will last through much of the day with many seeing a thoroughly miserable day overall. Temperatures between 9c to 17c.

Thursday: Not as wet with drier & brighter spells but some showers still possible.

Low pressure remains in charge and we’ll see further spells of rain or downpours early on across northern parts but the overall trend for the day is for drier and brighter weather and certainly not the amounts of rain we’ll have seen the previous day. Despite the promise of drier weather further hit and miss showers are not ruled out through the day, especially across western parts. Temperatures between 11c to 17c.

Friday: Dry and mostly dry for a time, wet and windy weather later!!!

Mostly dry across the UK to start with, some cloud here and there, mixed with some brighter spells but conditions will remain largely cloudy out to the west. As the day progresses it will turn progressively wetter and windy across the west, while remaining drier and brighter across the east but by the end of the day, wet and windy weather will spread to most parts, perhaps not quite reaching the far south-east. Showers will follow on in behind the band of rain for the west. Temperatures will range between 10c to 15c.
