UK Weather Forecast

Headline: Drier to start with, turning much colder with wintry showers later in the week!!!

It starts off fairly grey today, with a few patches of freezing fog around first thing. Things should brighten up later, especially across northern areas, though the odd light shower can’t be ruled out. It’ll feel chilly wherever the cloud hangs on.

Tonight skies clear for many, allowing temperatures to tumble. It’s going to be a cold one, with a widespread frost by morning, especially across the north.

Tuesday stays mostly dry, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. A few showers may brush eastern coastal areas, while cloud thickens later in northern Scotland, bringing patchy rain and strengthening winds.

Looking ahead, New Year’s Eve looks largely settled for many, though Scotland turns windier with showers. As we move into the New Year, colder air takes hold, bringing wintry showers in places and an increased risk of icy patches. Showers will turn increasingly to snow in the north through the weekend with come accumulations likely, especially so across N Scotland.
